A really useful article written by Brian Chen at the New York Times explains what a Smart Home is, and how to create this technological environment in your own house.

“Nearly everything in your home — including air-conditioners, thermostats, lights and garage doors — can be connected to the internet and be remotely controlled with a mobile device or smart speaker. Here’s a guide to help you sort through the jumble and become acclimated to your first voice-controlled smart home”.

As we advance toward this technology, it’s becoming more clear that buyers are starting to prefer homes that are at least prewired for this technology for future implementation.
